That's annoying. I am deaf as a stump, but some how I knew I was going to be able to hear it because the whine of the TV when it is on with no sound on drives me crazy. I'm sure those sneaky students will just be texting their hearts out, for about 15 seconds, until the teacher sees them hunched over, trying to see the tiny little buttons, with the retardo-IM look so common to those who are texting. :)
