You want to really bitch about something? You can get up to 18 Mbps internet in France
Fiber Optic access isn't here yet, and a lot of those access fees we pay were supposed to go towards people like MCI/Worldcom and Quest to let them lay out fat pipe for us to stream DVD's at 18 Mb/s and have room to spare for our HD webcam telephone conversations. I've been paying those fees since I've ever had broadband.
(note: this isn't to anyone who reads my dribble, just a general rant. Maybe we'll get Fiber Optic service one day.)
