a cmd.exe alternative

Anyone ever use Console
for Windows? I use a lot of CLI tools with outputs I have to copy/paste in other
programs, and I got sick of cmd's multi-stepped way of copying or pasting.
Console is a stand-alone program, it "looks" nicer, you can tab out file or
directory names, and use the mouse to copy and paste. It also has a tab feature
in case you need a few windows open.

Admittedly, I use Cygwin when I can, so Console seems to complete the
"unix-lite" feature set of working in Cyg environment.

Anyone ever use any other cmd.exe alternatives they like, or find less-painful?

I used to use something called 4nt way way back in the day. Nowadays, I usually just use a cygwin xterm or gterm. Which is still clunky, but nicer. I will check out this Console program. Thanks!

Aaaand...where did I go wrong that I work in Windows all day? What did I do?

I work for OpenTV, who make middleware for set top boxes, plus some Windows software for the broadcasting side. It's right downtown, by Embarcadero, so I just have to hop on the Bart to get between my Oakland home and SF work. Weren't you up here at some point? But then you changed workplaces?

Absolutely. Wednesdays are usually tight for me, but other days I have more flexibility.
