I'm "that guy" again

So, here I am, new hair in tow. Everyone's here. Not one person's said anything. It's been over a year since I had any color in my hair, so it's the 1st time I'm here all Blurple'd out.

*Sigh* I guess it's better than being oppressed for it. But I suppose the ham in me would like a little acknowledgment...

Give it time! They haven't had their coffee yet. :)

Totally off topic - when do you want to meet up and finalize info re ZP. I have some tech questions from the band guys, which perhaps you can answer and which I can forward directly to you if you are willing.

WIll likely need more flyers before too long. Gave a stack to Dire Saturday to use and give to QoT, and some to Luny last night for DG. I'm taking a bunch to Isotope Friday too.

I think your hair looks brilliant btw!

Thursday's groovy. Lunatic and I are hanging out in the afternoon, so we can meet up with you, or you can drop by my apt.

Since I live on the other side of the coast, I think your hair is awesome!

Two possibilities: 1) Maybe you work with techies, who tend not to notice big-blue-room sorts of things like hair color/style. 2) It's not cool to notice such things, because it implies that you consider it unusual which indicates a lack of worldliness.

But I vote for [livejournal.com profile] phreddiva's "it takes time for coffee to kick in" notion, myself ;P.

I know the feeling

While I don't actually care about what the people at work think, and I KNOW I am simply not noticed(appearance wise) by most people, I was still slightly disappointed that I wore my new nifty velveteen equestrian coat with shiny buttons that everyone was drooling over in a catalog, for a week and no one noticed. Or said anything. I mentioned I had ordered the coat the week before and they all swore me to wear it so they could see it.
On the flip side, I changed my hair into two buns for a day and everyone commented on how Lara(the other long hair in the shop) had worn her hair similarly the week before during my days off.
The vain little bitch in me would like to get noticed for myself sometimes, not for when they think I'm copying someone else. I expect to be ignored around there but still, a part of me wants someone to notice when I wear something new and pretty.

$145? Shit, If I'd spent that much on something I'd be demanding attention! My pretty coat cost me only about $50. Though with comparing income levels it's probably equivalent.

If it's worth it, it's worth it.
