lemasquegris: (Molee! Drinking Mole)

Got back from Pantheacon, it was pretty easy time for me. I attended a only few classes, while I was busy helping [livejournal.com profile] chicafangs, [livejournal.com profile] jennimoo + Hubby, & [livejournal.com profile] amara_m set up for our evening events on Saturday and Sunday. Since we had a hospitality suite, we're required to throw events in the room, we loaded up the bar, and I brought my big studio reference monitors, mackie mixer, and cables, and using some rough 2 fader skills, I mixed between my laptop and a couple mp3 players. With the broadband connection, I was able to mix in songs off of my friend's mp3 server and iTunes. I actually liked that my music cued up in a background tab, downloaded, and was ready for me. Since it loaded in the browser, I can press play, and it would play out and then just end, unlike itunes, where it will go to the next song automatically (I even played "dick in a box" off of youtube; that and Garth Brooks' "Low Places" where big hits).

Kind of gave me and idea for something to design

In any case, a lot of P-Con attendees seem to really like my eclectic choices. I guess it was a nice break from the usual noise. I was really amused when Shay Black was dancing, and then asked who I was spinning (I was playing Combichrist's "Reign of Blood")

I did attend the Brigid ritual on sunday. That was rough. Good, but rough. I almost fainted. Good times.

That said, I'm still full of buzz buzz energy, so I'm going out to DG...in case anyone else is going.

Oh yeah, I realized after not hearing the song for years, "Darkangel" is actually a pretty nice track...wha happened, Ronan?
